About your practitioner
Hi I’m Amelia,
My path to acupuncture began with an undergraduate degree in Sports Science and a deep interest in physiology, psychology and the way physical health supports every part of our lives. Later I completed a Masters degree in Teaching, which gave me a strong foundation in communication, empathy and how to meet people where they are.
I first sought acupuncture when I was pregnant and suffering from morning sickness. Later on I returned to it as, like many women, I was juggling family, work and life and suffering from stress and exhaustion. Acupuncture created space to reconnect and listen to my body, helping me feel more grounded, calmer and more in control of my health.
This experience led me to study Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at The City College of Acupuncture, where I gained my Licentiate degree. I am a proud member of the British Acupuncture Council, the only regulatory body for acupuncture accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. I have also completed training in FacialEnhance.
At ZEN·6 I bring together my understanding of science, the insight of teaching and the customs of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to support people at every stage of life. Whether you’re navigating perimenopause, struggling with an injury or stress or simply feeling out of sync, acupuncture offers a gentle but effective way back to balance.

About Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a cornerstone of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), practiced for thousands of years to promote balance, health and well-being. It involves the gentle insertion of very fine, sterile needles at specific points on the body, called acupuncture points. These points lie along pathways known as channels, through which vital energy, called Qi (pronounced “chee”), circulates.
When Qi becomes blocked or imbalanced, it can manifest as pain, stress, or illness. Acupuncture works to restore the smooth flow of Qi, harmonising the body’s systems and activating its natural ability to heal.
Modern research shows that acupuncture can stimulate the nervous system, improve circulation, regulate hormones, and release endorphins, making it effective for a wide range of conditions, from pain management and stress relief to digestive, respiratory and sleep issues.
At ZEN·6, each acupuncture treatment is tailored to you as an individual. Whether you are seeking relief from chronic pain, support for emotional well-being, or preventive care, acupuncture offers a safe, natural and holistic approach to health.
