Electro- acupuncture

Electro-acupuncture uses gentle, low-level electrical stimulation applied to acupuncture points to enhance the relaxing and balancing effects of a session. The sensation is subtle and steady and some clients find it adds an extra layer of focus and calm to their session.

Electrotherapy may cause mild redness or tingling at the site of electrode placement. These effects are normal, typically not painful and usually subside shortly after treatment.

Cupping

Glass cupping is a traditional technique that uses gentle suction to create a warming, drawing sensation on the skin. It is often experienced as deeply relaxing and tension relieving when used as a complementary part of a personalised acupuncture session.

Cupping may leave temporary circular marks on the skin, ranging from light pink to deep red or purple. These marks are a normal response to treatment, are usually not painful and typically fade within a few days to a week.

Gua Sha

Gua sha is a scraping technique, involving smooth, rhythmic strokes applied to the body using a specialised tool. The technique is slow and grounding and many clients enjoy the soothing, restorative quality it brings to a treatment.

Gua sha may leave temporary marks on the skin, ranging from light pink to deeper red or purple. These are a normal response to treatment, are not usually painful and typically fade within a few days.

Facial Cupping and Facial Gua Sha

At the end of a Facial Acupuncture session, gentle finishing techniques such as gua sha and facial cupping are used to enhance the experience. These methods help to encourage relaxation, stimulate circulation and promote a sense of balance and wellbeing.

Clients leave feeling refreshed, with skin that looks smooth, radiant and naturally glowing. Gua sha and cupping provide a soothing and uplifting conclusion to the treatment.
