In your initial consultation, I will review your health history and discuss your main concerns. A treatment plan will be tailored to you. During the session, you’ll lie comfortably while fine needles are inserted. Many people find acupuncture deeply relaxing, and some even fall asleep during treatment.

  • The number of treatments depends on your condition, its severity and how long you’ve had it. Many people start with weekly or fortnightly sessions. Acute conditions may improve in just a few visits, while chronic or long-term issues often require a course of 6–10 treatments before significant changes are felt.

A course of 4-6 sessions is a general guideline,

After the initial phase, some patients choose maintenance sessions every few weeks or months to support ongoing health and prevent symptoms from returning.

It’s also normal to feel a little tired or drowsy afterwards, especially after the first few treatments. Occasionally, symptoms may temporarily flare up for a day or two before improving, which is considered a sign that your body is responding to treatment. Drinking water and resting as needed usually helps.
